In conventional method arrow root powder is made by rubbing the rhizome with hand over a perforated sheet. A T Thomas from Melukavumattom of Kottayam district developed a motorized machine for the process. We promoted and popularized Arrowroot grinding machine and supported for preparing technical drawing and documentation. Financial support was given through Tepp programme of DSIR prepared by CORE staffs.
